Isn't it shocking how people record terrible  incidents that could have been averted  from beginning? A lady shared her experience with a conductor on her way to work one morning, trust Lagos public transport conductors; an argument ensued between her and the conductor,  then he (conductor) became abusive and was threatening to beat her up although he was clearly at fault. According to her, what suprised her more was the way the whole passengers kept a straight face and nobody tried to caution him, then it occurred to her that these same people would be the first to bring out their phones to cover the scenario if the conductor carried out his threat. So she kept quiet and got down at the next bus stop before reaching her destination. Now that was wisdom in action, the sooner you realise that people are more interested in covering the scenario than saving you the better; when next you think of starting an argument or a fight with someone in public be ready to go viral...

That weekend Nike went to the market and bought the things she needed and other items she noticed he was lacking the day she was visited; Kunle was waiting when she got back and hurriedly entered the kitchen to prepare his meal and by the she was done with cooking and dishing the meal ,she had already lost her appetite so she sat with him while he ate, the best part for Nike was when Kunle requested for more and still finished everything; after cleaning up she joined him in the sitting-room where he was on the couch. Thank you so much darling; “darling” Kunle had become extra nice and more romantic since their makeup and Nike was enjoying every bit of it I must confess you are  a great cook. Nike and kunle got more intimate, she was not feeling lonely anymore; though he lost his temper on several occasions over trivial issues, with this she tried to avoid it by letting him have his way. One fateful day i was on my way to pick up my clearance letter from my PPA, when i got down at the bustop there was a police check point and some officers were there carrying out their duty, as i passed one of them called out "corper " and I replied well done sir and waved at them.... When i finished from my PPA about an hour later, i had walked quite a  distance when the weather changed suddenly, heavy breeze  started blowing as i looked around there was no shade anywhere in sight so i started running towards the bustop "God help me " i prayed silently;  i felt the first heavy drop of rain on my head, and other drops followed, with the heavy rain drops i was getting wet pretty fast i was closer to the bus stop now and the police officers were rushing to their patrol van when one of them saw me and said "corper enter" i did not have much of a choice so i entered. I was sitting inside jeje trying to catch my breathe when two other officers came in one ...

The rate of Domestic violence these days is quite alarming, this is not a new development and only a few of these cases come to limelight. It is true that what God joined together let no man put asunder;  the question now is how many did God join together? People get married for different reasons and most they let their selfish and desperate desire blind them and this  overcomes God’s plan and purpose for them. It is quite sad that in the society where we find ourselves today marriage has become a sort of tool used in measuring a woman’s success; causing so many young people rush into marriage to attain the so called success only to realise that it is a mirage, for those who have the courage they rush back out, some others stay back for different reasons like fear of bringing shame to the family or what people will say at the end of the day they become  victims of domestic violence, while some others stay in name of protecting their children but end up causing...

 The following week Kunle still had not called but by this time Nikky was not thinking about him like she was a week earlier. On Wednesday morning, Nike had just settled in her office when her phone rang it was Kunle on the line, she answered the call quickly.
